Bloody Shirt

I am officially the world's worst blogger... Can't believe it's already been another month since I last posted! Whichever wise soul who told me that Lower Sixth was going to be insanely busy... I apologise for not believing you enough... It has been ridiculously busy and it's so scary to think that I'm going to be applying to university in a matter of months! So crazy.

Anyway, I started my half-term holiday on Friday and have had a pretty hectic few days with little time to grace social networking sites with my presence (sort of), which has been a welcome change! I went to a wedding on Saturday in Manchester and then stayed the night there with some family friends and spent time with them on Sunday. Then on Monday, went to visit my grandparents and received some belated Chinese New Year red envelopes! And then today, I went out to Chiquitos for lunch with my mum, sister and a friend. All in all, a lovely fun-filled few days, but I'm not looking forward to the mountain of work I've gotta get done... So far, I've literally been procrastinating by scrolling through all the blogs that I've missed out on reading!

Anyway, I thought I'd share some of the photos from my birthday meal way back on 25th January... It was such a lovely start to my 17th year - probably my best birthday to date, spending time with old friends and new.

I love looking back on these photos... Such a happy night. Ahhh, must stop spending all my time being nostalgic ha... Hope you're all enjoying your week / half-term holidays! :-)

P.S. I am currently loving Bloody Shirt by To Kill A King. I was fortunate enough to see them way back in October at a Sofar Sounds living room gig. They were so great and my friend actually included this song on a mix CD for my birthday, which was so lovely. (Shout out to Alys: thank you so much, you're the best!!!)

  1. I'm jealous of your ability to both live life and document it! Looks like good times + good food + good friends. What more could you ask for?

  2. These look great :P also happy belated birthday, your day seemed packed full of good cheer. All that revising will pay off for you in the future, you're still so young at the moment so the future will be a good one I'm sure.

Also thanks for your comment, so pleased you found it informative, I thought it may bore a few folks haha, so very glad you enjoyed it. If there is anything you need to know with drawing or any materials you're thinking of getting or, a general chat you could always email me, always happy to help with some advice! Also the inks are fantastic. They are great when used with watercolours I find, adds that vibrant touch.
