Prom

Greetings from Taiwan! I had originally planned to post the photos from my prom earlier, but I've been so busy whilst on holiday with the whole family, it's been difficult trying to blog / read blogs! Anyway, here are some photos:

I had such a good night at prom with my friends. Got ready at my friend's house beforehand and took some photos in her garden before getting to the Botanical Gardens for prom. Food was lovely and it was fun to have a boogie with my friends haha :-)
I got my dress from Fenn Wright Manson at the Christmas sales for £89 down from £300 which was great, I love the sheer material at the top of the dress and the pleats. It's so classy and I can see myself wearing it again in the future. The pearl drop earrings and necklace were from my aunty and the heels were £10 from a sale at Clarks haha :-)

So anyway, as I already said, I'm here in Taiwan and I've already been here for 10 days! The temperature hasn't dropped below 30 degrees and it's been lovely, but humid! Thank goodness for air con :-) Been eating out a lot with family and visiting a few sights as well as the day / night markets which has been a lot of fun! I really don't want to leave on Sunday, I've had such a great time here! I'm back on 30th and then off again to St. Albans on the 3rd so I'm not sure what blogging will be like, but I will try my best to blog when I can!

Hope you're all well and enjoying your week, wherever you are! Happy blogging!

Rivers and Roads

Another update before I go on holiday! (I love having time in the summer to blog, makes a nice change!) We're almost in the middle of July now and I can feel the summer sort of slipping away which kind of sucks, especially with the weather how it is. I'm gonna be away for 2 weeks, I'm back on 30th July and then off to London for a week pretty much straight after on the 3rd August! Then I start school on August 30th, which is basically a crime. :-(

These last few days, I've just been taking a few pics and watching lots of television (did I hear brand new double bill of New Girl? :-D) and trying (but mostly failing) to get some of my summer work done before I'm off on holiday. Plus eating. Lots and lots of eating. E.g. KFC, Ben & Jerry's, apple pies, eggs (love them), cherry bakewells, Galaxy cookie crumble, sausage and mustard sarnies, toast and tea, etc. Basically lots of junk. But I compensate with fruit like strawberries, oranges, apples and pineapple so I don't feel so bad. My kinda diet. :-)
...But now I'm hungry.

Anyway, to distract myself, here are some photos, plus a little outfit post. Hope you like them!

I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to blog again before I'm off to Taiwan on Saturday since I'm staying in Oxford on Friday, ready to go down to Heathrow on Saturday. If not, I hope you're all having wonderful holidays! I'll be taking loads and loads of pictures in Taiwan and will hopefully be able to blog from there a few times, so look out for those. Anyway, I don't think I can procrastinate much further in terms of packing (hate it!), so I'd better get cracking. (Hey, I'm a poet and I didn't know it!)

Happy blogging!

P.S. I'm pretty sure that I have an unhealthy obsession with The Head and the Heart. They're so good! Rivers and Roads is a great song.

Dancing In The Moonlight

Hello all! I've just been chilling and lazing around the house today watching the tennis. (Come on Federer!) It's nice to just take some time out and relax after the busy few days I've had! Anyway, here are some photos from my shopping trip on Wednesday :-) I had a lovely day out and the weather actually picked up for a little while which was nice.

1. Mirror shot in Urban Outfitters
2. Outfit (U.O. hat, Gap denim jacket, U.O. top, Wallis trousers)
3. My sister's outfit (Levi's waistcoat, U.O. skirt)
4. Blue skies and clouds!

There's a sort of outfit post for ya! Haven't done one of those in a while! Also, I bought a couple of books and a nice top from the U.O. sale which I'll show you in the next post. :-) My Year 11 prom was on Friday night and I had a great time seeing my friends and have been slowly uploading the photos and spending hours tagging people on Facebook...! It's so nice to look back on photos though, it's definitely one of my favourite pastimes. :-) I'll definitely get some of those uploaded onto the blog someone soon too!

Anyway, I'm gonna go back to watching the Wimbledon final and praying that Federer wins the championship. I'll be back soon with some more posts before I'm off on holiday next Saturday! Hope you're all well - happy blogging!

Go Outside

I absolutely love receiving things in the post, especially packages (even if they're presents that I've bought for other people)! It's just so exciting to sign for it and then open it up to see what it is that you've ordered. I received these items in the post the other day and thought I'd just post them on here.

1. The Beatles Anthology, Gossip Girl Season 1, PaperMate pencils & Uni Pin Drawing Pens
2, 3, 4 & 5: Pages from The Beatles Anthology

I got The Beatles Anthology for my brother for his 14th birthday as he's a massive Beatles fan. Even though it's officially for him, I will no doubt be stealing it for prolonged periods of time as it is such a brilliant anthology, written by the Beatles, documenting the band up to 1970. There are so many amazing photographs and interviews, as well as scans of their actual writing, little notes and lyrics. I highly recommend it to any Beatles fan. :-) The Gossip Girl Season 1 DVD was another present for a friend, I love Gossip Girl and really miss watching the first few seasons when they were still in high school.
Lastly, the pens and pencils were for myself as I absolutely LOVE stationery and can't get enough of it. These pencils are my absolute favourite and I can't use anything else. They're a bit wasteful as you can't refill them with lead, but they write so nicely and so much better than other mechanical pencils as the lead never drops out. These pens were a bit of an indulgence and come in 5 different nib sizes and writes so smoothly and wonderful. The 0.5mm is my favourite, but they're all so lovely and will be great for both writing and drawing, esp. on the pages of my Moleskine. Can't wait to use them properly!

So yes, as you can see, I get a little excited by packages, especially packages full of stationery. As long as I have a nice pen, I'm happy. :-) I'll be back with some more posts soon as I went shopping yesterday with some friends. Also, my prom is tomorrow which is going to be lovely, despite the torrential rain and thunder which has been forecast for tomorrow. :-( It's a bit annoying, but it'll be a nice night, nonetheless! Hope you're all well and that you've got lovely weekends planned. Happy blogging!

P.S. Listening to Cults' Go Outside. Great summer tune. :-)
